There are countless ways to display the beautiful photos you have invested in. Some easy and some not so much. Sometimes just the thought of putting up pictures stresses me out so much that I just never get to it. Here are my favorite ways in order from least to greatest stress.
1 - On a picture ledge or shelf.
There are so many things I love about doing it this way. Because I always order my photos mounted, I can easily prop them up on a shelf and be done. You can also use a canvas for this. There's no need to worry about what size to order or the additional expense of a frame. They are easily arranged, rearranged, and a breeze to change in and out. Several can be set on one ledge in any size or variety of sizes. Once you have your photo ledges or shelves mounted, you're all set to rearrange and change photos up any time you want without the hassle of a frame.
2 - Set in an easel.
This is just about as easy as using shelves, and can add an elegant touch. The only decision to make is the size of the easel and finding a place that has room for it. Again, easy to switch photos in and out.
3 - Framed.
I mean, obviously. Framed photos are always beautiful. It does add an additional stress for me at least with finding the right one. And to get it matted or not matted. Not to mention having to find the hammer and the correct nail and hook and hang it at the correct height. Hello, multiple holes in the wall til I get it right. An alternative to hanging a framed photo is to set it on a shelf or easel as well. It just won't be as easy to switch out.
I love a good portrait mounted over a fireplace or table or bed. And a portrait wall always grabs my attention. But for me, I just need an easier way. So for me, picture ledges win.
