My studio setup for all of my sessions is a backdrop and a strobe.
If any props are used, it's either something to sit on, or a bassinet or basket for baby. Often, it's just the beautiful simplicity of you and a backdrop so the focus is where it should be. Simplicity allows for timeless photos and attention to the details you want to remember.
Convenience
No weirdness of walking through my house or being taken to a creepy basement. Let's just ease your mind about that right away! The studio is the first room you come to in my house, and it's right across from a restroom that is available to you. For the babies, I do have a changing table and wipes. For the kiddos, I have a table with crayons and coloring books.
Waters and snacks will be available to you as well.
